ABUNDANCE OF GRACE

"Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose," (Phil. 2:2).

 

Jesus said that the world would know that we were His disciples by the love that we have for one another (John 13:35).

 

UNITY TOGETHER

 

There is unlimited power in unity!  Unity simply means having continuity in purpose or action. Psalm 133:1 says, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" (NKJV).

 

Unity is the glue in the body of Christ that allows us to be one.  Even with all the differences... different perspectives, races, experiences, denominations, worship practices-we can celebrate these differences and still work together as sisters.

 

The three key components associated with unity are agreement, harmony and oneness. 

 

AGREEMENT

 

"Again, I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they ask, it will be done for them of My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."  Matthew 18:19-20 (KJV).

 

At the core of unity is the principle of agreement. Unified agreement in the body of Christ brings answers to our prayers, fulfillment of our needs AND the very presence of the Lord into our midst.  If we agree, there can be harmony AND GREAT fellowship amongst us...

The AOG is comprised of people of faith who are diverse, inclusive, open, and committed to deepening their relationship with God and with one another. We are an open and diverse community of Christians dedicated to nurturing wholeness, wellness, and spiritual growth while supporting each other through the challenges of life and encouraging full & equal responsibility and participation in the life of the church and larger community.

 

We come together to support each other, uncover and share our God-given gifts, and use our God-given power to serve our church and world. Our service fosters health, healing, wholeness, love, peace and unity one with another. 

Our mission is realized through spiritually oriented programs, retreats and activities that enrich the lives of people and the entire church family, including:
